Event Summary

Everyone talks about “Green Technology”, but what does this mean in the
real-world?

Homes are increasingly automated to reduce their environmental impact.
The Construction Industry is “Going Green” by building structures with
energy-saving features in mind. B-Corps and “triple-bottom line” are terms finding their way into more business owners’ vocabulary.

Businesses and individuals have found they can save a great deal of money
(and improve their health by creating a healthier environment) by going
green.

Many of the high-impact advances are being found in alternative energy,
high efficiency appliances, home/building automation, modern building
materials, high-tech planning.

aimWest has assembled a panel of local community leaders on the front-line of sustainability to discuss: Grand Rapids recently launching a “2030 District” (which is leading the way to greatly reduce energy usage, water usage, and emission levels in the downtown area.)

Which Green Technology advancements are causing businesses to take a
closer look at their environmental impact? The future of Green Technology and why it will become even more widespread in the near future. How this will have an impact on your business and personal life.

Panelists:

Bill Stough - President/CEO, Sustainable Research Group

Peter Skornia - Vice President, Bazzani Building Company

Keith Winn - President, Catalyst Partners
